Tireless Sitters

During this period of time I had people come sit for me within a still life setting in my studio. I would ask them to bring in something that was meaningful to them, and put them in a specific context within my studio, thus combining something of them and of me. I would do a live painting, usually a 3-4 hour session, but then also 3D scan them afterwards. I call these scans my “tireless sitters”, as this simple technological intervention has allowed me to retain the energy of a live painting while communing without dependency on actual physical presence.
